Who We Are
We are a group of dedicated high school students who believe that hackathons should be accessible to everybody.
In the past year, there were many hackathons targeted at high schoolers in the Bay Area, but they were all in the South Bay and Fremont. We're changing this by organizing a hackathon in San Francisco so students like us in the Oakland and San Francisco school districts can have this fun experience without the struggles of distance and inaccessibility!

FAQs
Hack the Fog is organized by a group of dedicated high school students who believe hackathons should be accessible and inclusive to everybody. We are dedicated to providing a better educational experience of STEM for our peers by organizing Hack the Fog.
Who runs Hack The Fog?
Hack the Fog is directed at high schoolers in the San Francisco and Oakland area, although high schoolers from any school district are welcome.
Who can apply?
Hack the Fog is completely free, including food, drinks, and WiFi. However, if you plan on building a hardware project, you will need to bring your own materials.
How much will this cost me?
Horizons School of Technology is located at 450 9th Street in San Francisco. Unfortunately, we will not be giving travel reimbursement.
How do I get there?
All attendees are required to bring a form of ID for admission. Laptops, chargers, sleeping bags, and toiletries are highly recommended.
What should I bring?
No worries! Hackathons are perfect learning experiences for first-timers. With our workshops and an outstanding staff ready to answer any and all questions you may have, the community at Hack the Fog is perfect for beginners and experienced coders alike.
What if I can't code?
A hackathon is an awesome 24-hour event where people of all skill levels team up and have their crazy ideas become reality. Game, app, website, Alexa skill, whatever - you name it, there are no limits on what you can create. Set out and make the most incredible thing you can alongside your friends and fellow creators!
